Research experience is one of the most important items on your resume,
especially if you are planning to apply to graduate school. Research in the UMB Baby Labs can also lead you to your Honor's thesis. Research assistants get hands-on experience with experimental methods and after successfully completing their coursework, can receive more personalized letters of recommendation from the supervising professor and further help in continuing their studies on the graduate level.
